报告人是英国布里斯托大学计算机系资深讲师,主要研究方向为复杂网络分析,在复杂网络分析特别是重叠社区发现方面发表了多篇有影响的论文。
Abstract:Community structure in networks has been an active research topic in recent years. Most community detection algorithms are designed to find disjoint communities, but real-world networks often have a more complex community structure. For example, a researcher may belong to more than one research group, or a person always joints into multiple interest groups in the real-world or facebook.com. Thus, communities may overlap in various ways. In this talk we describe some of the work that we have done on identifying various types of overlapping communities, and other exotic forms of community structure, in networks.
摘要:复杂网络中的社区结构是近年来的一个热点研究问题。大多数的社区发现算法都是用于发现非重叠社区的,而真实世界中的社区结构往往更加复杂。例如一个研究人员可能属于多个研究小组,而一个人可能在真实生活中或在Facebook上加入多个兴趣小组。这样社区往往会以各种形式相互重叠。本次讲座将介绍一些我们在如何在复杂网络中发现各类重叠社区方面所做的工作。
